Band of Skulls’ “Friends” live video from their recent Troubadour show premiered on MySpace. It is one of several videos that I produced/directed with the help of eight fans in the audience who shot the entire show on Flip cameras. This is one of the videos that we came up with:

“Friends” is on the New Moon soundtrack.
I’m prepping for two shoots and a bit of editing this week and couldn’t be more excited. Here is what it’s looking like:
- Interview with Regina Spektor on Monday for the (500) Days of Summer soundtrack
- Interview with Band of Skulls on Tuesday for MTV2’s Subterranean
- One Eskimo press kit editorial on Wednesday
- de Cali website launch (website near completion!) sometime this week
I’ll be adding new projects to The Media Collective site very, very soon.
Add me on Twitter if you’re interested in 120 character blurbs.
P.S. Then I’m jetting out of town for the weekend!
Must listen to:
Fleet Foxes – “Mykonos”
Steel Train – “Alone On The Sea”
When I have down time in Los Angeles, I like to hang around the Shangri-La Music office. Shangri-La’s staff consists of some of the coolest people I know in the music industry and their office, which is decorated with classic photographs of iconic musicians, is two blocks from the beach in Santa Monica. They are a fairly new venture that was started by music industry veterans and some friends from Warner.
Anyways, they just signed an awesome band called Band of Skulls and they’re pretty sweet! Give ‘em a listen.
