Journal and Portfolio of Matthew Taylor Ruggieri

Possibly the best compliment that I have received on my work in a long time.  Regarding my interview with Josiah Leming on songwriting:

“Your camerawork shares the song’s raw, unrehearsed feeling, and there are so many details worth lingering on… You really have a strong sense of rhythm and subtle structure, in the way the ending comes so naturally and yet before you want it to be over.”

I really appreciate it.

Totally agree. Keep up the good work Matt! By hook or by crook, this boy/man is going to touch the world and your work is going to help him achieve that.

Perry, I really appreciate your thoughtful comment. It is an honor to work with – and be inspired by – such talented people.

Matt I agree with the comment in the original post. Yea we all like Josiah’s music, but at the same time we get to enjoy your work as well. Josiah’s two latest videos have had great songs(The Rush and You, I love)but the way you captured all it of made them that much better. So I mean, you do work with talented people, but your bringing a lot of talent to the projects as well.

Matt,

I’ve felt strongly since very early on that Josiah needs as much help being promoted and heard as possible. I wrote my blog post about him for that reason.

I’ve really enjoyed seeing your video work with him. You are talented in your own right, and I’m really happy to see someone doing quality documentation of these early days of his career. Keep up the good work. I look forward to more of it!
