Sir Leming and I are on a mission. He has a killer album that is coming out very soon. In anticipation for the debut release, he has been posting individual songs for streaming on MySpace and has received much deserved positive feedback. The response is stimulating and makes us both excited. Though I’m personally stoked for the album release, I’m even more stoked for a project – as a response to the feedback – that we’re secretly planning. This will allow us to screw around, do our thing (aka him=play music and me=film/photograph) and exclusively release it to all of his fine fans (shout out to all of you that have been waiting TOO long…we know, we know…) and my friends (shout out to all ten of you that read my posts religiously). Trust me, we’re both listening.
He’s also on a roll with blogging. Whether I like it or not, he has been stealing (haha) proofs of photographs from our photo shoot off of the protected light-box site and has been posting them. So I say “screw it” and I’ll just follow behind and post them as well. Here is the second photograph released from our “Come On Kid” shoot.

Photo taken with Kodak 160 VC film on the infamous Hasselblad.

I suppose that it wouldn’t be considered “leaking” it if I post a photograph from the “Come On Kid” photo shoot that Josiah already posted. So take a look at this teaser from our trip into the hills north of Los Angeles. (A “behind the scenes” photograph from the shoot is posted a few entries below. Taken by Sir Leming himself…) More to come soon! Cheers.

I’m so glad that it is finally time to welcome the new decade. Unfortunately, my break is almost over – I have to start editing the Band of Skulls live show that I shot a couple of weeks back and I start class again in about a week. I have a really good feeling about 2010. I’m really excited about launching a new venture within the next month and I’m going to try to get back on the road this year (hopefully Spring Break and Summer will permit…) Maybe one of the artists that I work with will want me to join them for a couple of drives in between school days. We’ll see. Therefore, my new years resolution is to jump back on the bandwagon and live a little. I want to spend more time on documentary portrait photography and getting on the road would allow for this. Again, we’ll see what happens…
What is your new years resolution?
